Technology to Visualize the Near-Field SpectrumRefined Product Design for Manufacture and Usability
Tangent was contracted to create a production design and update the aesthetic of one of our Client's flagship products to support an increase in product sales. The client's original products had been functional and successful, but as with many early-stage designs, were not intended to be a long-term design solution.
The goal was to modernize the product line and improve manufacturability of their products. This was accomplished by using a combination of an aesthetically pleasing cast aluminum, injection molded, and Gorilla Glass components in their designs. This approach improved product performance, reduced cost, and modernized their products. Tangent completed the prototype and production designs and managed initial production runs of 25 units before handing over the product designs to the client, who is now managing the ongoing manufacturing.
This project is an example of a client having an overall vision for their products, but needing the design and manufacturing expertise to make it a reality and take their products to the next level. By using Tangent as their external design realization team, the internal client team was free to focus on the core technology development.
